The Story of Charity: Water March 18, 2010

charity: water

This is a beautiful ad because it doesn’t come across as an ad.

The story told is Charity: Water’s story. Every company cannot tell their story in this manner but every company has to tell their story through strong and consistent branding. If you watch the ad you’ll see that in the story their website, photographs and ad campaigns were mentioned. This is because all those things made their story which is essentially their brand, a story they could now compile into one 4 minute video to once again benefit their cause. (more…)

Those that know me will start laughing, cause they know that on my travels always something happen to me 😀

In Friday my parents transport to Munich was canceled, so I arrange that in Sunday they went there with their car and left it on the airport parking. I should take it in Monday and move it to my friend’s place who life 10 km far in Freising.

I went on the way to Munich with my neighbor and on half of the way … damn … I remember that I forgot car keys at home 😀 Its good I’m used to have problems on my trips. Each problem has a solution, like this! Few calls and problem was solved (of course fully next day). I spent night in Freising, next day went to the airport and met there for a coffee with my cousin Gaja, who went for three months to NY.

Problem was solved thanks to my great friends Damjana, Tomaž & Anže 🙂 Thanks a lot again!!!

And now sweetest part of my trip! I am already in CAAAAAAAANAAAAAAAAADAAAAAAAA 🙂 (more…)

Katja’s weekend January 24, 2010

Katja was this weekend racing in Russia, in cold Rybinsk.

In Friday we were hoping that temperature will not fall below -15°C and it didn’t 🙂 Schedule: sprint freestyle. She had 3rd best result in qualifications. Amazing! We knew, she will make it, need to, her first finals 🙂

She finished quarterfinal as first (before Kowalczyk, leader of the World Cup). She got really hard group in semifinals, so she had to run as a hell. She made it, as lucky looser, her first finals!!! 🙂 She finished race on amazing 6th place and shows that from race to race she is better and better.

And than Sunday, they almost canceled race because of cold. Schedule: team sprint together with Vesna Fabjan. Competition was hard, but it was Katja’s and Vesna’s day. Katja went first on track, Vesna crossed finishing line 2nd. SILVER !!!!!!!  First medal for Katja! What a day!!!!!!

From race to race higher and higher, gold for Olympics !!!!!!!!

love January 21, 2010

Do not let that love is rarest thing in the world. It is completely free, reachable at any time, anywhere and anyone. Do not accept mediocrity. Love!

Yourself, others, life, colours. Seasons, animals, nature, newspapers, food, dance. Rain and puddles.

Good coffee. Friend, who is constantly complaining. Parents, who do not see anything beautiful. Beloved child. Doctor, that on the emergency room accepts you after 5-hour awaiting. Angry butcher. Rainy New Year’s Eve celebration. And tons of snow.

This is the fullness of life, is pleasure, passion, joy. Never deny lowlands, learn the alchemy of love only those who love the valleys.

Love is the medicine for everything

Dubai renames world’s tallest tower Burj Khalifa January 4, 2010

Dubai opened the world’s tallest skyscraper an hour ago, and in a surprise move renamed the gleaming glass-and-metal tower Burj Khalifa in a nod to the leader of neighboring Abu Dhabi – the oil rich neighbor.

A multimedia presentation witnessed by Dubai’s ruler and thousands of onlookers at the base of the tower said the building was 828 meters tall. I was only 10 metres out with my estimate a year ago 🙂

Emaar, the developer of the newly opened tower said it cost $1.5 billion to build the tapering metal-and-glass spire billed as a “vertical city” of luxury apartments and offices. It boasts four swimming pools, a private library and Armani hotel.

Shaykh Khalifa is only lending US$ 25 billion to Dubai so it’s just his name on the Burj. At least for now 😀
