There was a village and there was no rain at all.
It was dry. Land was dry.
Villagers finally decided that they will pray to God.
So every villager went to the church, hoping that it might rain.
Everyone came empty handed. Only a kid came with an umbrella.
Because only the kid believed that it’ll rain.

Kid in a story  …  is you.
Believe in yourself!
No matter what other says,
important is what your heart says!

Saying ‘NO’ June 8, 2009

If you’ve got talent, people want more of you. They ask you for this or that or the other thing. They ask nicely. They will benefit from the insight you can give them.

The choice: You can dissipate your gift by making the people with the loudest requests temporarily happy, or you can change the world by saying ‘no’ often.

You can say no with respect, you can say no promptly and you can say no with a lead to someone who might say yes. But just saying yes because you can’t bear the short-term pain of saying no is not going to help you do the work.

Saying no to loud people gives you the resources to say yes to important opportunities.

I Can do … April 28, 2009

One day, a son asks his dad “Daddy, would you like to run a marathon with me?”.
The father says “yes”.
And they run their first marathon together.

Another time, the son asks his dad again “Daddy, would you like to run a marathon with me?”.
The father says “yes son”..

One day, the son asks his father “Daddy, would you run the Ironman with me?”
The Ironman
is the most difficult triathlon ever (4 km swimming, 180 km biking, 42 km running).
And the dad says “yes”.

The story looks simple until you watch the following clip. Just amazing, how much love can accomplish. (more…)

If you’re not living on the edge,
you’re taking up too much space.

Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams July 27, 2008

When we were kids, we were all dreaming that we want to become a gangster, doctor, fireman, professional ice-hockey player… build own castle, cake factory… travel around the world, grab the sun…
Never give up on your dreams
, cause all dreams can come true !!! 🙂

Know that if you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself and the dreams will come to you !!!
But don’t forget work for your dreams, cause nothing will come by itself. Luck is where preparation meets opportunity 😉

Today I watched “The Last Lecture” of Randy Pausch, called “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams“, which he presented on Sept. 18, 2007, only a month after doctors told him that he had three-to-six months to live following a recurrence of pancreatic cancer. The professor at CMU who inspired countless students in the classroom and others worldwide through his highly acclaimed last lecture, has died in Friday of complications from pancreatic cancer. He was 47.
He was widely respected in academic circles for a unique interdisciplinary approach, bringing together artists, dramatists and designers to break new ground by working in collaboration with computer scientists. He created Alice, a revolutionary way to teach computer programming.

I am happy, I live my dreams, achieving my goal – establishing business in UAE:
It is not a job, it is fucking adventure !!! 🙂

be different May 18, 2008

If you will always chose right decisions, safe decisions, those that most of people chose, you will be like other.
Start choosing wrong decisions and they will bring you there, where other are dreaming to be!

Be different and people will see you!
I’m voluntary fireman at PGD Bled (Voluntary Fire-brigade Bled), but because I don’t have much time I can’t help them so often like in the past. Last year we bought 2 new vehicles (GVC 16/25 and TRV-2D), this year Hovercraft and Hummer, which arrived in Friday 🙂 I could say that we became most fancy Fire-brigade in Slovenia, especially because of Hummer 🙂

We must be prepared for everything, at every second, what means that if we want to do great job, we need good equipment!

For the end I want to recomend you a book, which I got few years ago as a birthday gift from my lovely cousin Nika: Paul Arden, Whatever You Think, Think the Opposite. Read it, it will help you to live your dreams!

To do anything, we need energy !!!

But where to get it? It depent on a person, so each must find out own source of energy.
Where do I get it? Give to get back!!! It works! My friends, I am doing everything for you! Only together we can survive and win! 🙂

Don’t think that everyday is a special for me here in UAE, that always is easy for me. It is not, but who cares on those moments! I always try to look from a bright side on my life! Last few days I spent for thinking and discovering how and where to start. It also came a moment … … … my family & friends, I miss you, I would love to hold you, but I can’t. I know that also harder times will come, but I can’t help, just GO ON !!! World is my playground!!! 🙂

Yesterday I went on a tea with one guy (half Slovene, half Syrian), whose contact I got from a Philippine waiter (read last post). Amazing guy! He sacrifices himself to came to Dubai and start new life. He is sending money back home, to support his parents to survive and brothers to study. I was impressed!

We finished around midnight, and cause I wasn’t sleepy, I went on a drink to Jazz club in Madinat Jumeirah. Everything happen with a reason! There I met Sri, Indian guy, whose father is hotelier. What a cool person! When I was on the way back home I just asked me, WHY, why me, why I always met such great people, especially those that I need on my way to success? But I don’t know the answer. I always try to be what I am, never lie to people, and don’t try to pretend that I am something what I am not. I am Anže Višnar! and Vishnar is going to become worldwide known brand 😉
